Converting to Linux: Debian Lenny 5

I finally decided today to fully convert everything I do on my personnel computer to Linux. I always wanted to be an expert at the Linux operating system. I always messed around with linux through vmware workstation because there is so many distros it is easier than vmware player for management. I have used Linux as a webserver and file server which I have conquered now. I am now want to be an expert at the desktop side of Linux. Every thing is not as simple using linux but if it is not hard then it is not worth doing.

I came across this website aswell.http://www.appbundles.org/   I was alway wondering when linux was going to stop letting the user download the dependancies for a program. With App Bundles the dependancy come with the program so it will run first time without giving an error about a dependacy you do not have. This is the way it should be.  It will make it easier for users coming from a windows world. All the author has to do is get his program along with its dependencies and bundle it up.

Hey presto you have a linux software working straight of the shelf.
