Solar Power Charger

I always want to build one of these projects. The biggest thing for people is how much they spend on this project compared to the amount of Kwh they will use with it. I wanted to build it to show that you would power you mobile phone,ipod and any other small appliance that takes a USB connection.
 
I got most of the parts for the project for free. I got the solar panel from my last college and i got the battery from the colege also because they were throwing them out. There was nothing wrong with the batteries but they did not want to charge them cause they 30 batteries.
 
 
If you think of it you are transferring the power from the main battery to the smaller battery. In theory you could charge up 7 mobile phone batteries with a 7.0Ah battery.

Solar Panel

This is a solar charger SE-400. It provides 15V 400mA with produces 6w at max output. It comes with all the connections you need to hook t your battery.

It stops over loading of the battery if it is full.
